ABOUT SAFESPACE DELAWARE
SafeSpace Delaware, formerly The Rick VanStory Resource Center, is a Wilmington-based shelter and resource center for adults struggling with addiction, homelessness, or mental illness. The director of SSDE reached out to a professor at the University of Delaware and through this professor, a group and I were assigned the task of doing a complete rebrand for this organization to go with their new name. After graduation, I kept with the organization for several months after the group dissipated in order to continue to implement their new brand.
THE BRIEF
Work with your assigned nonprofit organization to create a new brand identity, website, and social media platform.
OUR SOLUTION
THE CONCEPT
Many of RVRC’s problems could be solved with transparency. The brand that we created is one that makes it clear what the mission statement is and is open with its donors and members.
THE LOGO
Unlike RVRC’s original logo, SafeSpace Delaware’s logo makes it so that it is easy to tell what purpose the organization serves from a single glance. (Credit for the logo design goes to one of the original group members, Taylor Bills)
BRANDING ELEMENTS
These are just a few images of some of the designed elements the employees of SafeSpace Delaware requested from me, including flyers, letterheads, business cards, thank-you cards, and a building sign
